Titanium Wedding Rings - Modern, Strong and Reasonably Priced

For a long time the options for wedding ring metals were limited to yellow gold and silver, but now there are platinum, white gold, and titanium wedding rings available. White gold is nice, but gold is very soft metal and gold rings often bend or break. Platinum is gorgeous and very in style, but it’s also very expensive.

Titanium wedding rings are both reasonably priced and extremely strong. There are many benefits to choosing titanium wedding rings. Not only are they within your budget (they cost about the same as gold and silver rings) and strong, but they are also perfectly hypo-allergenic. Some people are allergic to most metals, but titanium is a neutral metal that is often used in the medical field—many surgical tools and implants are made from titanium.

A major benefit of having your ring made out of such a strong metal is it’s resistance to rust and deterioration. These rings keep their shape and can withstand the harshest of conditions. So if you want a ring that is going to last, titanium is the way to go. Titanium is also very lightweight compared to other metals. It is strong enough (it’s three times stronger than steel!) and light enough to have been used in the aerospace industry for years.

This makes titanium wedding rings both wear-resistant and wearable compared with other metals. However, all titanium is not created equal: make sure you get rings that are made from aircraft grade titanium.

Style and Variety
You will most often find simple bands when looking at titanium wedding rings, but that is starting to change. From elaborate engravings, to colored titanium, to diamond engagement rings, the variety of titanium jewelry is starting to grow.

Titanium wedding rings do tend to look modern, since the metal hasn’t been used in jewelry making very long, but there are just as many style options out there for titanium rings as for any other ring out there today. Prong settings, tension settings, inlaid stones, intricate and colorful patterns and simple wedding bands are all available.

Some jewelry stores do carry titanium wedding rings, particularly simple wedding bands, but the best place to find them is online. There are many websites that specialize specifically in titanium jewelry, and it’s at these sites that you will find the most variety of styles. There are also some really great deals online, so be sure to shop around before you settle on your rings.
