How to Prepare for Your Big Wedding Day
It’s well known that on the day of the wedding the bride will take much longer to get ready for the day of her dreams than it will for the groom. After all, she has to get her hair done, nails and then get into the lovely dress she has chosen and all of the accessories that will complete the look she is going for. Just putting on the dress and accessories can often times take an hour or longer. After the look is created it’s time for the pictures to be taken.
Some of the men that get married have no clue whatsoever on how to put the tuxedo on , but usually there are a few people that can help him get ready for the big day. After he is dressed, all he really has left to do is his hair, and get to the ceremony on time. A piece of cake compared to all the bride has to do.
Many people are mislead into believing that on the wedding day itself there is nothing left to do. This is typically not ever the case. This is the time when a bride and groom will need to call upon a reliable friend or family member, to make sure everything from the ceremony décor to the reception décor is as directed by the soon to be husband and wife. This reliable person could also be a wedding coordinator. It is a great idea to have them also make sure that the transportation to the ceremony is running on time and leaves ample time for the party to get to the ceremony.
As long as the happy couple has taken care of the items that are on the checklist, all things should go smoothly. It is safe to say, expect for something to not go as planned, as not everything can go as planned. For the most part the things that usually go wrong are minute and frequently are not even recognized by anyone other than the bride and her groom.
Another key player in the wedding is going to be the best man. He is responsible for getting the husband to be to the ceremony on time. He is also the caregiver of the wedding rings and he will need to be sure that he remembers to bring the speech he has prepared for the reception. But that’s not it, he also is in charge of the money that will be distributed throughout the day for the services of the day.
Many brides take a time out in order to spend some one on one time with her parents. Generally this is when she thanks them for all they have done for her throughout her life. This can be an emotional time for her, so it is wise to have tissues on hand. The bride should have something quick to eat before the ceremony, even more importantly if she will not be eating at the reception for a few more hours. With all of the excitement on the wedding day, many brides forget to eat.
